CONSTRUCTION PLANNING IN ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC TENSION FIELD
BAUPLANUNG IM OEKOLOGISCH-OEKONOMISCHEN SPANNUNGSFELD
The compromises that have to be reached when ecological and economic interests are in conflict, especially in cases of road construction are considered. The appropriate environmental impact studies and analyses that have to be made before construction planning begins are pointed out. Efforts of revitalization of such areas as the city of Vienna and its surroundings, including the creation of green belts, are discussed.
