ACCIDENT IDENTIFICATION AND TEAMWORK SAVES LIVES

A brief note describing the work of the GLC road safety section accident remedial team set up in 1972 to identify bad accident sites. Examples are given of low-cost road improvements designed to reduce the number of accidents at two sites. The remedial treatments by reducing the cost of accidents resulted in large financial savings to the community. (TRRL)
