POWERTRAIN ELECTRONIC CONTROLLERS DISCRETE UNITS VS MULTIFUNCTION
This paper reviews the factors which influence the use of electronic control units (ECU's) in the automotive environment. It compares the advantages and disadvantages of using a number of single function powertrain controllers against those of a single, complex multifunction controller.
