TUNNEL STRENGTHENING BY MEANS OF PREFABRICATED SEGMENTS
The author describes the techniques employed in strengthening underground structures using rings of precast reinforce-concrete or S.G. (spheroidal graphite) cast-iron segments. With the aid of examples drawn from recent tunnel repair operations, he gives a detailed account of the site organization and sequence of operations involved.
