REPAIR TECHNIQUES DISPLAYED AT BRIDGE DECK DEMONSTRATION
Rehabilitation of deteriorated bridge decks is an essential and cost-effective means of maintaining highway structures. Corrosion, usually induced by deicing salts, is the primary cause of bridge deck deterioration due to delaminations. Inadequate cover over reinforcing steel, improper air entrainment, contaminated aggregates or chlorides contained in some admixtures may also be contributing factors.
