CONCRETE PAVERS CREATE NEW MARKET, EXPAND OPERATION FOR FENDT BUILDER'S SUPPLY
For the immediate future, Fendt's Farmington plant will manufacture their total concrete block needs and the Ann Arbor facility will produce pavers and concrete lintels using separate systems. J. L. and Alan Fendt designed a system for production and handling of concrete pavers. Company personnel installed all the new equipment that included the paver machine, feed conveyors, and product handling machinery. Separate systems are used for production of lintels and pavers; both products can be made simultaneously. The plant, built into the side of a hill, is located adjacent to the sand and gravel pit that supplies a portion of the raw material.
