POLYESTERS CUT STRIPING COSTS THROUGH DURABILITY
In spite of higher initial applications costs, polyester coatings can substantially reduce lane striping costs by lasting up to three times as long as conventional coatings, according to studies conducted by the Ohio Department of Transportation. The two-part polyester coating consists of a polyester formulation and a separately applied catalyst. In studies by the Ohio DOT, polyester reduced striping costs by requiring less frequent applications than conventional fast-drying paints - even on heavily traveled highways and intersections.
