THE FOYLE BRIDGE - NORTHERN IRELAND
References to papers describing the planning, design and construction of the Foyle Bridge, Londonderry, are given. The purposes of this paper are to outline how the new river crossing, conceived in 1967, came to fruition as the new bridge in 1984; to indicate its function in the road-network of North-West Ulster and to describe briefly those features particularly relevant to the use and maintenance of the bridge. For other papers see TRIS 388882 to 388885. (TRRL)
