TD RIM
A review of car rim designs and their bead retention performance is performed. Test techniques for the evaluation of bead retention are discussed. The design origins and the performance characteristics of the TD rim are described. It incorporates the full Denlcc groove together with a minimum flange height, minimum well depth and maximum bead retention in a design compatible with all existing methods of tyre and wheel production and service. For the covering abstract of the conference see TRIS 392374. (TRRL)
