THIN POLYMER CONCRETE BRIDGE DECK OVERLAYS
Polymer concrete bridge deck overlay systems that have been used include mixtures containing epoxy, coal tar modified epoxy, polyester, methyl methacrylate and polyurethanes. For thin polymer concrete overlay, a mixture of liquid binder and aggregate is spread uniformly and then struck off using a vibrating screed. Immediately after strike-off, additional aggregate is spread over the surface to improve skid resistance.
