PROBABILISTIC REPRESENTATION OF HARMONIC CURRENTS IN AC TRACTION SYSTEMS
A probabilistic model is proposed to represent harmonic currents generated by thyristor-controlled AC locomotives. The model is used in a Monte Carlo simulation to predict traction feeder-station currents. The results of the simulation are compared with results from tests on a 25 kV AC railway.
