The four risk sources identified are: (1) the driver; (2) the vehicle; (3) other users; and (4) road conditions. This article evaluates risk levels based upon the drivers interpretation of stimulii and the responses issuing therefrom. Man/machine/road interactions are defined and analysed. (TRRL)
