WATCH OUT! YOU'VE GOT COMPANY ON THE ROAD
Three suggestions are given to new drivers for dealing with the many types of vehicles and pedestrians that take up some part of the road: be alert; drive defensively; and locate a "protection space"--an area into which you can move forward, drop back, or veer right or left in a split second to avoid an accident. Several tips are also offered to help cope with common pedestrian problems.
