A review of the administrative organisation for road safety in developing countries of Asia and the far East has been made and problems concerning road safety are studied. With a view to organizing comprehensive, balanced and sustained activities in all the spheres of road safety, it is suggested that a national road safety council should be set up in the developing countries, coordinating road safety activities of various agencies such as police department, motor vehicles department, road and traffic engineering department and educational institutions.
