ENERGY FUNCTION IN INTERFERENCE BETWEEN SURFACE FOOTINGS
A footing, when loaded, penetrates the surface of a partially saturated soil resulting in a change in the structural arrangement of soil grains, porosity; partial expulsion of liquid and gaseous components also takes place. This paper presents the laboratory tests conducted on partially saturated soil and their results on the influence of interference between two square surface footings at different spacings.
