UNCERTAINTY IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS EVALUATION: ISSUES AND APPROACHES
This paper presents a framework for analyzing uncertainties in urban transportation planning and decision-making. Types and sources of uncertainty are identified along with their implications. Approaches for dealing with uncertainty in transportation planning are discussed. Issues and fundamental considerations are offered as guidelines for explicit recognition of uncertainty in transportation system evaluation methods. (Author/TRRL)
