TRANSYT-7F AND NETSIM COMPARISON OF ESTIMATED AND SIMULATED PERFORMANCE DATA
Increasing construction costs and decreasing revenues have forced transportation engineers to more closely fine-tune the existing street system using various transportation system management strategies. Among these strategies, few are as cost effective and easy to implement as traffic signal coordination and optimization. Several computer packages are presently available to optimize and estimate or simulate existing or expected traffic flow conditions. TRANSYT-7F and NETSIM are two such packages.
