BOLLARD THRUST PREDICTIONS, BASED ON MODEL TESTS, FOR THE 300 TON CARGO TRANSPORTER BARGE DESIGN
As part of the continuing development of the 300 Ton Cargo Transporter Barge design, additional model tests were carried out to provide data for predictions of the Barge astern, astern quartering, and athwartships bollard thrust performance. The predicted bollard thrust performance, for thrust directed in the athwartships direction, is somewhat less than was assumed during the Barge preliminary design phase; however, it is shown that the Barge bollard thrust performance will be adequate.
