ADVANCED EGR TESTING

This article discusses the operation of some of the more complicated EGR systems and explains how to troubleshoot them. Those systems covered include the Ford Venturi vacuum system, the Ford remote backpressure sensor, the Ford integral backpressure sensor, the Chrysler Venturi amplifier system, the Chrysler backpressure sensor system, the Chrysler-Mitsubishi 2.6-liter EGR, the GM EGR control solenoids, and the GM pulse-width-modulated EGR.
