PEDAL CYCLISTS AND DANGEROUS PARKING
This paper aims; 1, to argue that dangerous parking should be recognised as a special and serious problem within the category of illegal parking; 2, to illustrate the particular dangers to cyclists of dangerous and illegal parking; and 3, to propose that the control of illegal parking be improved, and that the seriousness of dangerous parking be reflected in parking control enforcement practices and penalties. Figures illustrate the potential danger to cyclists caused by reduction of vision at junctions, parking on the sidewalk, anddintimidating macoeuvres by motorists. (TRRL)
