TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM STUDY IN SAUDI ARABIA
Cansult Limited and its Saudi Arabian partner, Dar al Takhteet, were engaged in 1980 to design and assist in the installation of a complete traffic control system. It included everything, from pavement markings and signs to a comprehensive computer-based traffic signal system. The following sections describe the progress of the project to date, and some of the problems encountered in the design of the traffic control system.
