VALUE ENGINEERING IN THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's value engineering (VE) program is presented. How the program stated, how it is now administred, and the accomplishments are described. The program has achieved significant savings of more than $10 million per year. Recommendations are aimed at agencies beginning a VE program. (Author)
