The International Symposium on Traffic and Transportation Technologies, sponsored by the Federal Minister for Research and Technology (Federal Republic of Germany) and the Studiengesellschaft Nahverkehr mbH, D 2000 Hamburg 20, took place on the occasion of the International Traffic and Transportation exhibition in June, 18-20, 1979. The papers presented at the Symposium were published in the Symposium Proceedings, consisting of 9 volumes. Volume B2 contains 17 papers concerned with advanced Railway technologies, Session 2.
