DUCTILITY OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE PILES SUBJECTED TO SIMULATED SEISMIC LOADING
The results of tests conducted on six full scale pretensioned prestressed concrete piles subjected to simulated seismic loading are presented. The main variables investigated were the strength and ductility available from piles containing substantially less spiral reinforcement than recommended in the New Zealand design code, and the effectiveness of hard drawn reinforcing wire (grade 485) as spiral reinforcement.
