LABORATORY COMPACTION OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURES
LABORATORIEVAELTNING AV ASFALTMASSOR. PILOTSTUDIE MED FOERSOEKSUTRUSTNING
The investigation is aimed at finding a suitable method of compacting bituminous mixtures in laboratory. The object was to reach the same voids ratio as that attained at a Marshall compaction of a corresponding mixture. Tests were carried out on mab 8t and mab 12t mixtures. Rollers with and without vibrating units were used. The results were of the same quality as those of the Marshall compaction. (TRRL)
