OVERSIGHT OF THE HOUSEHOLD GOODS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1980 AND THE BUS REGULATORY REFORM ACT OF 1982

Oversight of the Household Goods Transportation Act of 1980 and the Bus Regulatory Reform Act of 1982 is invested in the Interstate Commerce Commission. This transcript contains the testimony of the Chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission, Reese H. Taylor, Jr., before the House Committee on Public Works and Transportation's Subcommittee on Surface Transportation, as well as a prepared statement. The purpose of the testimony and the statement is to report on thee actions the Commission has undertaken to implement the Acts and to gauge the impact of the Acts on shippers, the household goods industry, and the bus industry.
