SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL CONCESSIONARY FARES SCHEME. PRESENT USE AND FUTURE OPTIONS
This report covers an investigation into the pricing implications of the concessionary fares scheme currently operated by the Surrey County Council for persons of pensionable age. The principal objective was to assess what level of payment made by the council to the bus operators represents a fair and equitable return for both parties. Four sections deal with: 1, introduction; 2, description of surveys and analysis; 3, findings; and 4, interpretation and conclusions. There are two appendices: a, survey forms and questionnaires; and b, effects of rail disputes. (TRRL)
