The object of the report is to collect arguments for, and against, a new design of residential roads in Swedish town centres according to Danish and Dutch models. The residential function is superior to the traffic function. An example is given of how to change parts of a Swedish town centre. The work also includes a literature survey and study visits to Denmark and the Netherlands. (TRRL)
