WHY THE LEGAL DRINKING AGE SHOULD BE 21

This is a fact sheet from the American Automobile Association on alcohol-related traffic accidents. The American Automobile Association hopes that the compelling data detailed in this brochure will help convince state legislatures to raise the legal drinking age to 21. A comparison is made of involvement in alcohol related traffic accidents of 18-to-20-year-old drivers in the states where the legal drinking age has been changed to 21 and the states where it has not been changed.
