PROVISIONS FOR PEDESTRIANS
VOETGANGERSVOORZIENINGEN
The influence on the behaviour of the pedestrian by means of legal measures without enforcement, and by education, publicity and propaganda results in only a small effect on the safety of the pedestrian. Technical measures and a better infrastructure will be more effective. On the basis of the national and international literature, together with some ideas of the working group, recommendations are presented for better safety provisions for pedestrians. (TRRL)
