RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION REPORT CONCERNING URBAN NON_MAN COLLECTION AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
This report deals with the Uphdai Urban No-man Delivery and Collection system. Based on existing traffic patterns of delivery and collection, the first part of this report argues why the Uphadai system, which utilizes specific routes for each category of merchandise, is desirable and feasible. With the charts from pp- 3-66 the report points out the areas suitable for the establishment of the system. The second part of the report presents research data concerning the construction, design and maintenance of the system. The link joints must be made of materials strong enough to bear minimum 1500kg. The route design should avoid sharp turns and steep ups and downs. Interlocking tooth type wheels on the carriage and track will probably decrease the high friction found in the use of plain wheels and tracks. Different types of sockets used in operation and maintenance are tested. Methods of assembling merchandise into separate categories and delivery are tested. Types of central motor control are considered.
