FLEXIBELE INFOSYSTEMEN BIJ PARKEREN. RELEVANTIE MAASTRICHT

A study is made of the relevance of the possible introduction of a flexible infosystem for parking in the town centre of Maastricht. The flexible infosystem for parking is a system of information signs or signals which informs the driver on his route on the availability of vacant parking places on a number of parking sites and of the location of these parking places. In this report the situation in the town centre of Maastricht is outlined. The effect of the introduction of the system is considered. Social, economic and geogrpahic data are studied and the demand for parking is calculated. An inventory is made of the capacity and the number of cars on the public and private car parks and the prevention of illegal parking. (TRRL)
