This general report presents a general account of the activities of the committee and analyses the national reports and other sources of information from which the general report on the six themes selected for the xvii congress is based. The themes are: planning and administration, soils and materials, road and pavement design, construction, maintenance, co-operation in information and training standardisation. The last chapter of the report gives conclusions, recommendations and topics for discussion. (TRRL)
