This guide, which is not a standard, aims to help the project designer to reach a practical solution. It deals with the following points: (1) final tunnel lining consisting of unreinforced concrete built with formwork (nature, role, design, application, acceptance, surveillance, maintenance, repair, basic properties of underground concrete); (2) nature and properties of concrete ingredients; (3) specification governing concrete, study acceptance and control tests; (4) concreting equipment (manufacture, transport, putting into formwork, vibration); (5) lining and waterproofing; (6) concreting practice; (7) surveillance and maintenance of the lining.
