THE TIME-SETTLEMENT BEHAVIOUR OF A RIGID IMPERMEABLE CIRCULAR RAFT ON A DEEP CLAY LAYER
An analytic solution is presented to the problem of the consolidation of a deep layer of clay which is loaded by a Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The predictions were have considered the loaded region to be free to drain, the solution presented in this paper assumes that it is on elasticity and one-dimensional consolidation theory. The assumed drainage condition has on the time-settlement revealed, indicated fair agreement for the time-settlement predictions in the future. (Author/TRRL)
