STATISTICAL RECONSIDERATION ON THE PARAMETERS FOR GEOMECHANICS CLASSIFICATION

A statistical reconsideration of the parameters for geomechanics classification of tunnel excavation has been carried out to apply it in Japanese geological conditions. A procedure to analyse the parameters from the data base, collected in conjunction with tunnel deformation and geomechanical rock conditions, was already reported in 1982 at the ISRM symposium at Aachen. Analysed parameters are considered on the statistical weight. The conventional parameters are effective for their specific purpose but these items have to be considered in conjunction with their interrelationship. The number of the covering abstract of the congress is TRIS no. 385148. (TRRL)
