KNOWING HOW TO MANAGE THE MOTORCYCLE
MET DE MOTOR OVERWEG
Motorcyclists are a selected group of road users. They are few in number. Therefore the government, the highway administrator and road constructers do not listen to the complaints of motorcyclists and do not react sufficiently bearing in mind the speed of the motorcycle. These complaints are mainly on special characteristics of the road surface. The motorcycle is particularly sensitive to the unevenness of the road surface, especially to longitudinal grooves other than for the prevention of aquaplaning. Attention is paid to aspects of technique and policy. In cases where longitudinal grooving is necessary a warning sign is needed. (TRRL)
