NOISE LEVELS IN DRIVER'S CABIN. CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY

STOEY PAA FOERERPLASS I ANLEGGSMASKINER

This paper describes noise level measurements at the driver's workplace in construction machinery. The method used is ISO/DIS 6394: "Measurement of Airborne Noise Emitted by Earth-Moving Machinery. Operators Position, Stationary Test Condition". Results show that in many of the tested vehicles the noise levels exceed 85 db and it is stated that improvements have to be made. (TRRL)
