NEW APPROACH TO DESIGN OF MORTAR MIXES USING SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF CONSTITUENTS
The author has evolved a new factor for designing mortar mixes using the specific gravity of the mix constituents. Based on this factor, and graphs and tables shown in the paper, cement-sand, cement-lime-sand mortars can be designed. Step-by-step worked examples illustrate how the mix is designed. (TRRL)
