ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES... DOWN WITH EMR!
As automotive electronics continue to grow new problems arise from electromagnetic radiation (EMR). The author looks at some new design changes that the continued use of sensors and controllers will bring to the typical engines. Methods are discussed that will be used to protect sensitive microprocessor circuitry from the damaging effects of EMR emitted inside and outside the car.
