REMOTE SENSING OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA OIL POLLUTION EXPERIMENT

The Coast Guard conducted a controlled oil spill test off the coast of Southern California, in order to evaluate the performance of several remote sensing techniques which show promise in the detection and surveillance of oil slicks. The remote sensing techniques portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. This report contains the results and findings from the participants in the Southern California Oil Pollution Experiment.
