FREIGHT TRANSPORT BY ROAD
GOEDERENVERVOER OVER DE WEG
After an introduction on the proportion of freight transport and the transport possibilities for the transporter, a more detailed description is given of the choice between the different transport modes and the factors which determine this choice. The demand for vehicles by transporters and the demand for the infrastructure, executed by the transporters, is analysed. The last chapter discusses the location modifications in demand and supply caused by changing conditions in transport such as cost, infrastructure, technology ect. (TRRL)
