BRIDGE- VEHICLE INTERACTION WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO SIX MILE CREEK BRIDGE
A mathematical model of the response of a beam- vehicle system, which has been implemented in a computer program is described. Predictions of beam response are compared with the expeprimentally observed behaviour of Six Mile Creek Bridge under real vehicle loading. Case studies illustrate the sensitivity of system response to such factors as vehicle load, surface profile, vehicle motion and bridge stiffness. (Author/TRRL)
