EXPANSION JOINTS
GIUNTI DI DILATAZIONE
An illustrated article describes the design and construction of expansion joints on engineering structures forming part of heavily trafficked roads such as motorways. Special attention is paid to materials, movement, reduction of noise and vibration, waterproofing, drainage, resistance to atmospheric and chemical aggressivity, and ease of maintenance (including minimal interruption to traffic and impediment to snow clearing machinery).
