DETERMINAZIONE DEI CEDIMENTI IN TERRENI COMPRESSIBILI TRAMITE MISURE DILATOMETRICHE

An illustrated article describes the use of dilatometer measurements to determine the settlement of a low motorway embankment in Italy. The study was carried out on the A1 Milano-Roma motorway where it runs southwards (with an upward gradient of 18 per 1000) on a low embankment. Brief details of topographic and geotechnical surveys of the organic silty-clay, marly terrain are included. (TRRL)
