ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS 1981
TIELIIKENNEONNETTOMUUDET 1981
The report contains data on road traffic accidents in Finland in 1981 reported to the Central Statistical Office by the police. The coverage of the statistics is 100 per cent for accidents causing death. For other accidents the coverage is lower because fewer of these accidents are investigated by the police. The statistics contain about two thirds of accidents causing bodily injury and about a quarter of accidents causing material damage. In 1981, 555 persons were killed in road traffic accidents, which is 4 persons more than in 1980. The number of the injured was 9072 persons. (TRRL)
