CONTROL OF ROAD TRAFFIC POLLUTION
CONTROLE DE LA POLLUTION ROUTIERE
This report sums up the analytical methods which can be employed to determine the quantities present in the air of some metals responsible for pollution caused by road traffic (cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, lead, vanadium). In case of particular polluting agents, sampling may be done by impact, sedimentation and filtration. After desorption or putting into solution by acid or basic attack, the metals gathered may be quantitatively determined by different analytical techniques.
