TRUCK FLEET MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

FORDONSPARKERS NYTTJANDE. METODER FOER UPPFOELJNING

In this thesis, important concepts concerning the control of vehicle fleet utilization are defined and analyzed. An analysis is made of the relation of this field of study to the overall control system of the organization. Important decision-making situations about which a control system might provide essential information are described and analyzed. Two examples of the theoretical and practical organizations are given. In addition, a case study is described where the control has given useful results of great economic importance. Proposals for continued research and development work are finally given. (Author/TRRL)
