INCOMPATIBILITY OF DRIVER-VEHICLE-HIGHWAY STANDARDS: RECENT AND ONGOING RESEARCH

Recent past five years and on-going research related to driver-vehicle-highway compatibility problems are summarized. The information was devised from auto manufacturers, the Federal Highway Administration, Institute of Transportation Engineers, the National Cooperative Highway Traffic Safety Administration, State, County and City Departments of Transportation, the Transportation Research Board, and University Researchers. The research summaries are classified into one of three incompatibility areas: driver-highway, vehicle highway, and vehicle-vehicle.
