PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF DRIVER EDUCATION
Driving is a decision-making process that requires knowledge, skills and experience, all of which should be provided in a quality driver education course. This article reviews driver education in the past as it is now, and offers recommendations for the future: better preparation of driving instructors, switching from a time standard to a performance standard, and a leadership role from the private sector.
